“Dovzhenko. The First Look” is the first feature biopic about Oleksandr Dovzhenko, the artist who laid the foundation of Ukrainian cinema. The world premiere took place to a sold-out audience at the 29th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF).
The film tells the story of Dovzhenko’s struggle for creative freedom in Odesa in 1926 and offers a contemporary perspective on a figure of defining importance to Ukrainian culture.
The Ukrainian Christmas comedy “Christmas Guardians” became a large-scale family feature combining festive atmosphere, tradition, and contemporary visual storytelling. The project stood out for its production scale, including over one hectare of artificial snow, and a star-studded cast featuring Tina Karol.
